Tim is a solicitor with many years’ experience advising businesses of all sizes, from start-ups to global corporations, on a diverse range of commercial and corporate issues. His legal career has include spells as a partner in a leading London firm of solicitors, running his own practice and acting as senior in-house counsel to a blockchain technology company. In addition to his legal career he has established businesses in the UK and Europe, been an angel investor in early-stage tech ventures, a business consultant, a non-exec director and a mentor with The Prince’s Trust.

Over the course of his portfolio career in law and business Tim has developed relationships with clients
as a strategic adviser. He offers a combination of legal expertise and business acumen which enables
him to give clients commercially grounded advice that strengthens value, reduces risk and assists in
sound decision making which aligns the aims of his clients and other stakeholders.
Tim’s breadth of experience enables him to advise across a range of commercial sectors. He has
previously had in-depth involvement with clients in advertising, the hotel sector, real estate, defence
procurement, blockchain and other tech ventures.

Tim’s natural curiosity and interest in the law surrounding tech innovation has led him into the fast
evolving area of AI where he is advising developers, procurers and users of artificial intelligence tools in
both the public and private sectors. As a broadly based commercial lawyer Tim advises across the
spectrum of AI related issues including:

· Data privacy and GDPR
· Intellectual property
· Commercial agreements surrounding AI systems
Tim is active in the Thames Valley AI hub (University of Reading) and a collaboration partner in AI &
Partners.
Interest
about me
Outside work Tim’s interest are mainly sporting and include tennis, golf, skiing, sailing and watching Leicester Tigers. His past exploits include breaking an arm during a failed attempt to climb the Matterhorn.
