about

After completing her training contract at Pinsent Masons, Kate joined Somo Global Ltd as Legal Counsel. Kate was instrumental in growing Somo from a tech startup to a multinational organisation. In 2022, as General Counsel and Company Secretary, Kate helped facilitate the sale of Somo to CI&T Inc (NYSE: CI&T) in a £49 million transaction, managing all internal legal due diligence, compliance, corporate governance, external law firms, and the vesting of all share options. Post-acquisition, Kate led the CI&T EMEA legal team and advised on matters including M&A, corporate restructuring, incorporations in EMEA and Asia-Pacific, and negotiating supplier and client agreements to mitigate risk and secure favourable terms. She was also responsible for post-acquisition strategic alignment, employment law matters including redundancies, settlement agreements, and HR policy development to ensure CI&T culture merged seamlessly into the UK.
