Francesco is a senior company commercial lawyer who, before joining as a Founder Partner of Kingsley Wood, has been practising law in the City of London for nearly 20 years.
Francesco’s combination of extensive experience in a wide range of domestic and cross-border company, commercial, dispute resolution and employment work, allows him to take a multidisciplinary and flexible approach to his clients’ legal needs and problem-solving.
Francesco has a particular expertise in dealing with multi-jurisdictional projects and overseas stakeholders, which has enabled him to develop an established multidisciplinary practice. Francesco advised, over the years, a variety of corporates, businesses, individuals, and local authorities across a breadth of industry sectors including renewable energy, financial services, engineering, life sciences, food and beverage, aviation services and recruitment.
He also focuses on start-up companies, whilst advising on day-to-day corporate governance and shareholders’ agreements.
Recent Matters
my work
Francesco has extensive experience advising both domestic and international clients on complex commercial and corporate matters. He has represented an Italian regional authority in five High Court claims brought by international banks concerning swaps transactions valued in the hundreds of millions. His work includes advising an Italian corporation on the acquisition of a UK airport ground-handling company from a consortium of petroleum firms and assisting a UK-based renewable energy developer in structuring a multi-jurisdictional framework agreement for PV projects in the UK, Italy, and Spain, with a combined capacity exceeding 500 MWh.
Francesco regularly advises on employment settlement agreements and has supported various renewable energy developers in the disposal of solar and battery storage projects in England. He has also guided a multinational food and beverage group through the reorganisation of its UK subsidiaries, and advised on the formation of a telemedicine start-up, including its growth-share structure and consultancy agreements for radiologists.
His recent mandates include acting for a syndicate of Italian institutional lenders on UK security for a £12 million facility agreement and representing a senior executive in a claim exceeding £500,000 against a leading global credit rating agency. Francesco also advises regularly on the service and enforcement of overseas judicial documents and judgments within England and Wales, reflecting his strong cross-border expertise.
