Fiona Harte handles a broad range of corporate, commercial, technology and specialist legal work. She brings over 25 years’experience gained at international City firms, reaching Partner level, and as General Counsel within multinational organisations. Her practice is international in scope, with particular strength in U.S.-related matters.

Fiona has served for over eight years as Legal and Commercial Director of an aviation company based in Houston, USA, advising on cross-border commercial, regulatory and operational matters. She also regularly contributes thought leadership and speaks at industry and academic forums, drawing on her background in law, technology, innovation and emerging industries


Her specialist expertise includes IT and cyber law, AI and robotics collaborations, SaaS and software licensing, cloud computing, hardware supply and mobile application development. Fiona also advises on data protection, GDPR, privacy and cybersecurity, sanctions compliance, healthcare and clinical trials (including U.S. HIPAA), energy, oil, utilities and renewables. Her practice further extends to outer space and satellite law, sustainable aviation, media and entertainment, motorsport, project finance,

banking arrangements and credit structures.

  • Fiona advises across corporate and transactional matters including start-ups, venture capital, private equity, M&A and cross-border shareholder arrangements. Her commercial practice includes master services agreements, framework agreements, project agreements, supplier and services contracts, and complex technology-driven arrangements. She has extensive experience advising on large-scale projects and public sector procurement, including work with central government, the NHS, defence, nuclear, renewables and utilities, as well as outsourcing and offshoring arrangements.

about me

Fiona is a Lecturer at the University of the West of England College of Business and Law, teaching cyber law, financial services and solicitor training programs, and supervising and assessing postgraduate dissertations. Her experience as both a Partner and Global General Counsel gives her a strong and practical understanding of the legal,

commercial and governance requirements of complex international organizations.


Fiona is actively involved in exploration, conservation and sustainability initiatives through The Explorers Club and Space Renaissance. She serves on governance committees within healthcare organizations and has interests in sailing, music composition and production, events management, golf, tennis, languages and culture.

Fiona is internationally recognised for her work and acts as a visiting UN Expert on Outer Space matters. She is Legal Counsel to the Committee of The Explorers Club for Great Britain and Ireland and is the only lawyer outside the United States to be invited and sponsored by three core members of the New York-based Explorers Club.


In 2016, Fiona led a highly confidential and pioneering AI and robotics collaboration integrating advanced machine learning technology for a commercial client. This project, now publicly recognized, remains among the most advanced of its kind globally.
