Emma specialises in employment law, workplace investigations and regulatory and contentious matters. She qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and became a Solicitor-Advocate in 2010.
Emma began her career with the Crown Prosecution Service where she progressed to Senior Crown Prosecutor, specialising in serious and sensitive criminal cases. During this time she served as a national union officer and was elected to the Law Society Council.
She later worked as Crown Counsel in the Cayman Islands and as a Senior Investigator at the Office of the Ombudsman investigating whistleblowing and maladministration complaints across the public sector. She has also led a workplace investigations team within the private sector, overseeing complex and sensitive internal investigations.
Emma now advises organisations and public bodies on employment disputes, investigations and governance matters and also acts as a Legally Qualified Person advising police misconduct panels.

Interest
about me
Emma enjoys travelling, running and spending time outdoors. She has taken part in a number of endurance and charity events, including the London Marathon, the Great North Run and the New York Marathon, and has also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro as part of a charitable fundraising expedition.
Emma is actively involved in voluntary and community work. She volunteers at her local hospice, supports dog rescue organisations through fostering and home checks for prospective adopters, and is involved in an initiative focused on promoting respectful and safe workplaces. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, meditation and Reiki, reading and spending time with her family and her rescue dogs.
