Claire started her career in 2002 as a consultant supporting construction companies with dispute resolution. She went on to complete her undergraduate degree in Law in 2017, followed by a Master’s in Civil Litigation in 2018. Over the past seven years, she has built a thriving practice in construction law, construction disputes, and adjudication. In 2025, Claire qualified as an adjudicator in construction disputes and is now focused on expanding her construction law practice at Kingsley Wood.

Claire has a sharp analytical mind and excellent critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to tackling a case whilst always balancing the commercial risks any clients may face. Claire has hands on experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction law and has acted on some highprofile cases both in the High Court and the Court of Appeal. Claire is thorough and meticulous in 

preparing written work, case preparation and provides excellent advocacy on her feet in the court room.

  • Reviewing and advising a client with respect to a multi-million-pound construction sub-contract for a large waterproofing and roofing project in London.
  • Drafting sub-sub-contracts and consultant agreements for a multi-million-pound construction project in London.
  • Acting for a Claimant in a claim relating to defects in construction work to an extension built at a domestic property.
  • Acting for a Referring Party in an adjudication relating to a dispute as to the relevant contract terms and the client’s entitlement to damages for wrongful termination in the amount of £75,000.
  • Acting for a Defendant in a £20 million multi-party dispute relating to combustible cladding and the liability for the replacement of that cladding.
  • Acting for a Referring Party in a domestic adjudication under the RIBA adjudication scheme.
  • Acting for a Claimant in an Arbitration for £250,000 for unpaid invoices for property maintenance services.
  • Advising and preparing terms of Settlement following the presentation of a winding up petition and successfully negotiating the dismissal of the petition.

Interest

about me

Claire enjoys singing and musical theatre and has previous performed at the Brighton Fringe Festival and previously acted as Secretary for an amateur theatre group in Brighton.



Claire has two daughters who keep her busy but when possible, Claire also enjoys swimming and horse riding and has a love of animals.
