about

Dan’s recognised diplomatic and language skills, coupled with his renown expertise as a DCM lawyer, facilitated his involvement in establishing Allen & Overy’s French capital markets practice in 1992 and helping to grow that practice into one of the leading DCM teams in this practice area. Whilst in Paris

Dan gained a reputation for his expertise and approachability with many of the major French banks and became well-known in the market. He also facilitated the introduction of many of the UK based banks into the French market and as a French/English dual qualified lawyer he became a “go-to” person for international clients wanting to access the Paris market.

Dan is also recognised as very much a “team player” attributing great importance to training and bringing on the careers of young lawyers. This had the effect that the teams he established were of exceptional quality and highly rated by clients and competitors alike.
