Abdullah has acted on a wide range of complex and high-value disputes, bringing both technical expertise and commercial judgment to each matter. His recent experience includes:

  • Defending a £2 million unfair prejudice petition under s.994 Companies Act 2006, involving allegations of mismanagement and shareholder exclusion.
  • Acting in a High Court claim valued at over £4 million concerning unjust enrichment, account of profits, conspiracy, and breach of directors’ duties.
  • Advising private companies on corporate governance matters, including drafting bespoke articles of association, shareholders’ agreements, and ensuring compliance with the Companies Act 2006.
  • Advising shareholders on drag-along, tag-along, and pre-emption rights, as well as director’s duties.
  • Representing clients in disputes relating to breaches of contracts, loan agreements, and guarantees.
  • Negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts for corporates to mitigate risk and align with business objectives.

Outside of his legal practice, Abdullah is a keen sportsman and enjoys boxing, football, chess, theatre, and travelling. He is committed to giving back through mentoring aspiring lawyers and volunteering in community initiatives. A passionate linguist, Abdullah is fluent in English, German, and Arabic, and continues to expand his knowledge of languages.
